Oğulcan is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the lab. He is jointly mentored by Dr Nicola De Maio at DAMTP and Genetics at University of Cambridge. He received his PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics and Bioengineering from Sabancı University, where he studied the interplay between DNA damage, repair and 3D genome organization. His current research explores the evolution of regulatory elements across species, with a particular interest in how spatial interactions between them shape and constrain their evolution.
