Bianca is the Rokos-Menon Fellow at Queens’ College and a postdoctoral research associate in the lab. She received her PhD from Brown University and was an NSF postdoctoral fellow at Yale University before joining Cambridge. She studies questions in ecology and evolutionary biology, often through a microbiome lens. Much of her work has focused on the factors that shape host-microbiome interactions, but more recently she has expanded this work to understand brain responses using cerebrospinal fluid as a window into host physiology. In the G2 Lab, she is investigating how behavior shapes the microbiome and the implications of microbiome data for privacy, while also developing approaches to understand gut-brain crosstalk through extracellular vesicles.
